Fire crews attend Blackburn building on fire

Eight fire crews are in attendance

Eight fire engine from Blackburn, Darwen, Clitheroe, Hyndburn, Tarleton and Great Harwood were called just after 1:35am to a commercial building on fire on Chadwick Street.

Two stinger appliances from Blackburn and Skelmersdale as well as an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn are also in attendance.

The incident involved a building approximately 80x100m in size.

Firefighters used three light portable pumps, two jets, two breathing apparatuses, and the stinger and aerial ladder platform appliances to extinguish the fire.

Residents are being urged to keep all windows and doors closed and to avoid the area.
