E-scooter rider left with serious head injuries after crash in Penwortham
The road has now reopened.
A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after a crash involving an e-scooter he was riding and a cyclist in Penwortham.
Police were called to Liverpool Road this afternoon.
The road was closed for a period of time, and it has now reopened to the public.
Statement from Lancashire Police:
"We were called around 1.45pm today to a report of a collision involving a cyclist and a escooter ride on Liverpool Road, Penwortham.
"Emergency services attended with the road closed.
"The bike and escooter have been recovered and the road has now reopened."
