Detectives are seeking to identify a key witness after a person was found dead at Preston railway station.

Officers attended the station just after 1am yesterday morning (29th November) after a member of the public alerted a station staff member to a casualty.

Paramedics also attended, but sadly the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and are keen to speak to the man who first reported the incident.

It is believed this individual boarded a train at Preston station heading for Blackpool North at 12:58am.

Anyone who is the witness or has other information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact British Transport Police.
