Cyclist suffers serious injuries in crash in Thornton-Cleveleys

Police say no one has been arrested

Police in Lancashire are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a crash in Thornton-Cleveleys.

The force were called to reports of a serious collision on Trunnah Road at its junction with Holly Road at 3.22pm yesterday (16th May).

Officers say a cyclist collided with an Audi A4 Estate.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious head injures and remain in hospital at this time.

The driver of the v Audi was not injured and nobody has been arrested.

In a statement the force said: "We are now asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch with our officers.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the diver of a white Ford Transit high top unliveried mini-bus type vehicle which was initially parked on the kerb at the junction of Trunnah Road and Heys Road, in the area of Great Arley prior to the collision.

"We believe they could be a key witness."
