Cyclist seriously injured after crash in Wrea Green
Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was badly hurt in a collision in Wrea Green yesterday (23rd November).
Emergency services were called at about 8am to a collision between an Audi A1 and a pedal cycle.
It happened on Ballam Road at the junction of Westby Road.
The cyclist, an 83-year-old man, was taken to hospital with what were initially believed to be minor injuries but his condition is now described as serious.
The car driver was uninjured.
Sgt Dave Hurst, of Lancashire Constabulary’s Tac Ops dept, said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information or witnessed the collision, or anyone who has dashcam or other footage, to get in touch.”
