Cyclist seriously injured after crash involving car in Preston

A cyclist has been seriously injured after a crash involving a car in Preston.
Emergency services were called to Golden Way in Penwortham in the early hours of this morning, after reports of a collision with a Ford car.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and is in hospital.
Golden Way was closed for several hours as part of our investigation and has now reopened.
Sgt Martin Kavanagh of Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit, said: “The cyclist suffered serious injuries and our thoughts are with him as he undergoes treatment in hospital.
“If anyone witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from Golden Way around the time it happened, we ask you to contact police.”
