Couple Hit the Jackpot in Blackpool
A Blackpool couple celebrate becomming scratchcard millionnaires
Rock FM's been speaking to the lucky couple form Blackpool who scooped one million pounds on a National Lottery scratchcard.
Andrew Cunliffe, 37, bought the #100 Million Cash Spectacular Orange card in an Asda store while rushing to buy tea bags for his workmates. He told us as soon as he confirmed the win he got down on one knee and proposed to his partner Natalie Cliff.
Mr Cunliffe, a building site manager, is now planning his wedding with fiancee Natalie, 30, an event planner at Blackpool Tower.
He said: We called Camelot and as soon as the lady on the end of the phone confirmed I really was #1 million richer, I just got down on one knee and proposed.
It is something I have been wanting to do for a long time but I always worried I would not be able to give Natalie the wedding of her dreams. Now I can.''
The couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, have not set a date for their wedding and have yet to decide on a venue.
They first met at Blackpool Tower while Mr Cunliffe was carrying out work there.
