CEO of Blackburn Rovers leaving the club
In a statement the club has thanked Steve Waggott for his work over the past seven years

It's been confirmed that CEO Steve Waggott will be leaving Blackburn Rovers.
In a statement on the club's website they said:
"It has been agreed that Steve Waggott will be leaving Blackburn Rovers.
"We would like to thank Steve for his work over the past seven years and we wish him well for his future endeavours."
During his tenure Rovers failed to gain promotion from the Championship to the Premier League, but did pull off their joint best finish in that time at the end of this season, securing the 7th spot.
Recently it was revealed the club had made the decision to withdraw from the Barclay's Women's Championship for the upcoming season.
