Lancashire Police have arrested a man following the discovery of a large cannabis farm in Chorley.

Officers executed a warrant at an address on Ashfield Road following a tip-off from a member of the public yesterday (Monday, 26th February 2024).

Once inside, they discovered around 200 cannabis plants spread across five rooms.

A 42 year old of no fixed abode is under arrest on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and is currently in custody.

The action came as part of Operation Warrior, which is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire.

It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
