Burnley soldier found dead in Ukraine
31-year-old Jordan Chadwick travelled to the war-torn country last October to fight off the Russian invasion
A soldier from Burnley has been found dead in Ukraine.
31-year-old Jordan Chadwick left for the war-torn country last October to fight off the Russian invasion as part of the International Legion.
He had previously served in the Scots Guard between 2011 and 2015.
Mr Chadwick was reportedly found in water in June with his hands tied behind his back.
His body was returned to the UK last month.
Mr Chadwick's mother told the BBC that the news of his death has been "devastating", and that they were proud of his "unwavering courage and resilience."
She added that he was "loved immensely" by his family.
The Foreign Office say they're continuing to support Mr Chadwick's family, and are in contact with the relevant authorities.
An inquest is set to take place in February.
