Body found in search for missing woman

A body has been found in the search for a woman who went missing in Blackburn nearly a week ago.

Ioan Butnariu (20) hadn't been seen since Saturday 10 December.

The body was found this morning (Friday 16 December) in Higher Croft Wood off Roman Road.

The body has not been formally identified, but police believe it to be Ioan.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course.
