Blackpool Football Club have sacked Head Coach Steve Bruce as their poor start to League One continues.

The club currently sit second from bottom, after Saturday's home defeat by AFC Wimbledon made it seven defeats in 11 league games.

64-year-old Bruce had been in charge at Blackpool since September 2024, having replaced Neil Critchley.

He guided them to a ninth-placed finish last season.

In a statement on Saturday, the club said that assistant head coach Steve Agnew and first-team coach Stephen Clemence had also left the club.

It added: "The Club would like to thank them for their efforts, and wishes them the very best for the future.

"Stephen Dobbie and Steve Banks put in interim charge until a replacement is appointed."
