Fifth person charged with murder after Blackpool stabbing

A fifth person has been charged with murder after a man was killed in Blackpool.
52-year-old Mark Gibson from the resort was stabbed to death on Carshalton Road in the early hours of Monday morning (11th July).
Aaron Chadwick, 33, of Warley Road, Blackpool, is due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court today (15th July).
Four people appeared at Blackpool Magistrates' yesterday charged with his murder. They'll appear at Crown Court today.
A 53-year-old man from Blackpool, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released no further action.
A 50-year-old woman from Blackpool was arrested today (Thursday, July 14) on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Det Ch Insp Jane Webb, of Lancashire Police, said: "We have charged a number of people following the death of Mark Gibson.
"Our thoughts remain with his family at this time. They are being supported by police.
"I would also like to place on record the tremendous response we have had from the local community during the course of our enquiries. Residents have provided excellent support, allowing officers to work quickly and diligently as we investigate Mr Gibson's murder."
