Lancashire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and information following a man's death in Blackpool.
Officers were called to Amy Johnson Way on Friday (August 30th) to reports that a man in his 50s had collapsed outside the Morrisons supermarket on Squires Gate.
Emergency services were called to the area shortly afterwards, with paramedics providing emergency medical treatment on the man.
The man was eventually taken to the nearby Blackpool Victoria Hospital for his injuries, but was sadly pronounced dead.
Lancashire Police have paid tribute to the man, offering their condolences to the man's friends and family "at this distressing time".
Officers have said that the death is not being treated as "suspicious", but admitted that his passing was sudden and unexpected.
Meanwhile, investigations are now ongoing to establish how the man collapsed so quickly, and have asked anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash to come forward.
