Two people have been charged with murder after the death of a man in a hotel in Blackpool.

Kevin Price, who was 59, was found with multiple stab wounds after police were called to The Garfield Hotel on Springfield Road on Sunday.

It's thought Mr Price lived at the address.

Following an investigation by Lancashire Police, they have confirmed that Adam Saunders, 50, and Helen Kenyon, 38, have both been charged with murder.

The pair - who are both from the town - are due before magistrates later.

Det Chief Insp Simon Pritchard, of the Force Major Investigation Team, said: “My thoughts remain with Kevin’s loved ones. His family have been told of the latest developments.

“I am really grateful to everyone who has come forward during the course of the week with information to assist in our enquiries and while we have now charged two people, I would continue to appeal to anyone who can help to get in touch."
