A Blackburn man has been found GUILTY of smothering two of his children before killing his new partner six years later with a drugs overdose.
Jordan Monaghan, 30, murdered his 24-day-old daughter Ruby on New Year's Day in 2013 and eight months later killed his 21-month-old son Logan.
Six years later in October 2019, he murdered his new partner Evie Adams, 23, by using prescription drugs tramadol and diazepam.
Monaghan, of Belgrave Close, Blackburn, Lancashire, denied all the charges but today a jury has found him guilty of ALL counts.
The nine-week trial has heard both Ruby and Logan Monaghan had suffered a "collapse" but recovered prior to a final fatal event.
The prosecution said Monaghan murdered both by smothering, or imposed airway obstruction, while alone with the children away from their mother, Laura Gray.
The court also heard he killed mother-of-one Miss Adams, 23, with an overdose after she was found collapsed at the home they shared on Hazel Close, Blackburn, on October 24, 2019.
She had overdosed on tramadol and diazepam, drugs Monaghan later admitted he tried to buy on the black market.
He told the jury the drugs were for him and he never gave Miss Adams any illegal prescription drugs and suggested her death was a suicide.
The prosecution said Monaghan killed the children when his then partner, Miss Gray, told him the relationship was over, and killed Miss Adams when she also threatened to dump him.
Monaghan has also been found guilty of two counts of cruelty to a third child, who cannot be identified, all between January 1, 2013 and October 24, 2019.
He will be sentenced later this week.
