A Preston dad whose son was killed in a house fire deliberately started by his mum, is taking his fight to change the law to Westminster today.

Paresh Patel's four-year old son Jai Joshi and his ex-partner both died in the fire in Liverpool in May 2014.

Jai's mum Janma Joshi, had failed to return him to his dad who had custody.

He's now calling for all court orders to include a paragraph which states that police and social services have the powers to remove a child, if deemed necessary.

Paresh thinks that Jai would still be alive if his court order had been made clearer.

He's meeting with Children's Minister Edward Timpson in London today, urging him to back his campaign.

Paresh will be supported by South Ribble MP Seema Kennedy, who is backing his campaign.
