Appeal to find man absconded from secure unit

Police are appealing to find a man who has gone missing from a secure unit, after a visit to Preston.

Shaun Paul Smith went missing on Thursday (April 25).

60-year-old Smith, who also goes by the name Aemon Martin, was last seen near the toilets on the ground floor of the Fishergate shopping centre in Preston at about 1pm.

He is white, grey hair, slim build, beard and moustache.

He was last seen wearing a hat, cream jeans, grey/red t-shirt, grey cardigan, black coat, black trainers and a backpack.

Smith has links to East Lancashire, including Rossendale and Blackburn, as well as Preston and Bamber Bridge.
