The family of a soldier, who went missing from Weeton Barracks over a week ago, are appealing for information to help to find him.

Jordan Corcoran, who's 28, disappeared last Tuesday from Weeton Camp on Singleton Road, shortly before midnight.

Jordan is described as white and 5ft 8ins tall. It is not known what clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. He is known to wear hats.

It is thought that he has links to Blackburn, Wigan and Liverpool.

In a statement, Anna Corcoran, Jordan’s mother, said: “Jordan has been missing for nearly a week now, with no sightings of him and no contact with anybody.

“We need Jordan home to his loved ones. The pain and distress myself, his nan, Melissa and the rest of his family and friends are feeling is unbearable.

“His three-year-old son Kai is asking for him on a daily basis and it is heart-breaking.

“Jordan, please, if you feel you don’t want to come home yet then that is fine but please reach out to somebody so we can know that you are safe and ok. We all love you so much. Just anything to know you are somewhere will ease a bit of the torment we are going through.

“To anybody that knows where Jordan is I urge you to contact somebody. I feel somebody somewhere knows and now is the time to give his family some reassurance that he is somewhere and still alive because the longer this goes on we are fearing the worst.”

DI Alisa Wilson from Blackpool Police said: “We are continuing to appeal for help as we are very concerned for Jordan’s wellbeing. We would urge anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to call us immediately.

“Similarly if Jordan himself sees this appeal, I would ask him to please speak to us or a friend or family member to let us know you are okay.”
