Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a hammer and machete in Lancaster.
The victim, in his 20s, was assaulted on Millennium Bridge by two men in the early hours of 11 May.
He also had his bag stolen, with the men running off towards Skerton.
Lancashire Police said the victim continues to recover after suffering serious head injuries.
Officers said any witnesses or anyone with information are urged to come forward.
