Elton John to celebrate his 70th birthday in the only way Elton could
His birthday is the 25th March
Last updated 24th Mar 2017
Elton John will turn 70 on the 25th March and of course he has a fantastic celebration planned.
The musician and singer, who has been in the business for over 50 years, will be holding a gala fundraising event in Los Angeles, hosted by actor Rob Lowe.
This event will raise urgently needed money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and exhibitions and programs at the Hammer Museum in LA.
On the night there will be performances from a number of 'surprise guests', as well as the fantastic Lady Gaga.
Last year Lady Gaga joined Elton John at a surprise 'thank you' gig for the people of Hollywood for supporting his AIDS charity.

As well as celebrating Elton's fantastic career, which has seen him win multiple prestigious awards and even gain a knighthood, the event will also be a celebration of Elton's 50-year writing partnership with Bernie Taupin. Talking about their writing partnership Bernie said,
"It's been an unconventional partnership and while we pretty much patented the two-rooms technique I'd venture to say you'd be hard pressed to find a couple of songwriters more in sync with each other and their craft."
In anticipation of his birthday event Elton has uploaded a short video with a selection of the highlights from his career.
Happy Birthday Elton!
Elton John will be on tour in the UK later this year and tickets can be bought from Aloud.com
