Property developer extraordinaire and TV presenter Sarah Beeny will present a one-off TV show tonight.

The show, UK’s Best Place to Live, will feature Preston and South Ribble in the running for the title of the 'UK's Best Place' along with many other cities, towns and villages.

According to the production company's website Sarah has decided to help people in their 20s think differently about where they could live, as millions of them move every year.

She announced earlier on Twitter that she was looking forward to her new programme saying, 'So excited about my new documentary.'

Film crews were reportedly in the Leyland area interviewing local business owners and residents late last year for the programme, which was commissioned by Channel 4 in October.

There are a number of factors that affect the rankings of the top places including affordable housing, finding a job and the quality of life so Sarah is expected to explore all of them.

Last year Preston was named as the best place to live and work in the north west according to the Good Growth for Cities 2016, leaving the larger cities of Manchester and Liverpool much lower down the list at 30 and 37 respectively.
