It was only the other day that EastEnders fans were confused over Abi Branning's baby's whereabouts and now viewers have spotted a mishap with the little one.

Lots of viewers had been questioning why no one had visited Abi's baby since she was born but in last night's episode ( 18th January) Max and Lauren Branning finally went to see the new addition to their family.

However, lots of people noticed the name tag on Abi's baby said 'Smith' which is odd because the baby's dad was Steven Beale and Abi's surname is Branning. One person tweeted their confusion, 'Why did the Branning baby have Smith on it's ID band... confused me #Eastenders #BBC'. sic

Someone else said, 'Why did the baby have a tag with Smith on it in #EastEnders'.

Another commented, '#EastEnders such a shame Mr Continuity didn't change the actual name tag on baby Branning to make her not a Smith.' sic

A fourth wrote, '@bbceastenders love how EastEnders can't maintain a story. Abi's baby with the 'Smith' name tag!!! #rubbishtv'.

One more added, 'Abi's baby in #EastEnders had baby Smith on the tag? Must be a real newborn used ??'.

This isn't the first time EastEnders have made a mistake; they were previously slammed for a 'disrespectful' episode and then they confused viewers over a 'missing' character following the Christmas Day episode.

EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
