Our investigation finds zombie knives are still easily bought online... as teenagers arrested on suspicion of selling weapons
A simple Google search allows people to purchase potentially lethal weapons - despite a Government ban
Our investigation has found zombie knives and machetes can still be easily bought online in the UK, despite new laws banning the potentially lethal weapons.
A simple Google search will take people to websites selling zombie knives, where they can be purchased no questions asked.
The Government introduced a ban on the blades in September, following a month-long knife amnesty, allowing people to hand them into police stations.
Anti-knife crime campaigners in Kent has told us they are 'angry and 'shocked' after we revealed zombie knives can still be bought online.
Andy from Uprising in Ashford said: "I'm a bit annoyed actually but beyond that a bit shock and not really surprised because I guess it's a lot harder to police the sales of knives on the internet.
"My question is do companies that allow the sale of zombie knives on their websites really know the impact they are having on young people and communities and if they did, would it make them sit up and think about whether or not they should be selling them.
"When the ban was created was there strong enough polices that allowed people to sell them, such as loophole where people can just rename them.
"There has to be strong policy and bigger fines to companies that are allow the sale of zombie knives on their website even though they are band, because in my mind, if they are still doing that they are just laughing at the fact there is still a ban."
"It's upsetting to the core that it is still so easy to get the."
