Woman seriously injured in Sheerness High Street attack

A woman has been seriously injured in an attack in broad daylight in Sheerness High Street.

Police say she was struck in the head by a phone at around 10.30am on Wednesday 5th November 2025 near Russell Street.

No one has been arrested so far.

Officers want to hear from witnesses and anyone with CCTV footage.

A Kent Police spokesperson said:

"Officers investigating an assault in a Sheppey town centre are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage.

"Kent Police was made aware of a reported disturbance on Sheerness High Street near Russell Street at around 10.30am on Wednesday 5 November 2025.

"During the incident, a woman was reportedly hit in the head with a phone by an unknown woman described as being in her 20s.

"The victim’s injuries are reported as serious but not life changing or threatening. She is attending hospital for treatment."

"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers would urge anyone who may have information or CCTV footage to contact Kent Police on 01795 419119 quoting reference 46/191055/25."
