Woman held by police after man dies of stab wounds in Chatham

Police are questioning a woman after a man died from stab wounds in Kent.
Officers were called to a home in Chatham on Saturday morning after receiving reports of an assault.
Kent Police said that officers found a man in his 40s with injuries "consistent with stab wounds" at a property in Castle Road.
The man died while being treated by paramedics at the scene, the force said.
A 45-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody, they added.
"Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Chatham," the force said in a statement.
"Kent Police was called at 10.12am on Saturday November 1 2025, following reports of an assault in a private property in Castle Road.
"Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them.
"Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage."
