Appeal for witnesses after assault in Rochester

Witnesses are sought after a man was reported to have been assaulted during a night out

Kent Police have issued a fresh appeal, after a man was reported to have been assaulted during a night out in Rochester.

The victim was in the High Street near Boley Hill at around 1.30am on Saturday 3 February 2024 when he was approached by the offender who suddenly punched him.

The force said this caused the man to fall over and hit his head on the floor, rendering him unconscious.

Following the incident the victim was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

He was later discharged.

The police have released these details in the hopes of finding a witness:

The suspect, who was walking with two other men, is then reported to have picked up the victim’s phone before he smashed it onto the floor.

The suspect is described as white, around five feet 10 inches tall, of slim build, with mousy blonde hair.

He was wearing a black jacket with writing around the top, a white t-shirt and dark trousers.
