Witnesses sought to serious collision in Broadstairs

Witnesses are being sought, after a serious collision between a motorbike and a car in Broadstairs yesterday.

The incident, involving a red, white, and black Yamaha Fazer motorbike and a white Ford Fiesta, happened at around 3.35pm on Sackett’s Hill at the junction with St Peter’s Road.

Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man in his 20s was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition. His next of kin are aware.

Anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to the police, is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting reference SM/DC/084/24. You can also email sciu.td@kent.police.uk.

Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.

Footage can be uploaded through the online portal.
