Two women in hospital following serious A2 collision near Canterbury

Police are appealing for drivers to check their dashcams for any footage of the incident on Saturday night.

Drivers are being asked to check dashcams following a serious collision on the A2 near Canterbury.

Officers are appealing for information after two women were taken hospital with multiple injuries, following the incident on the Boughton Bypass.

The women had been travelling in a red Peugeot 207, which left the London-bound carriageway and ended in a verge.

At around 9.40pm the vehicle was seen by a passing police officer, and other patrols then attended along with ambulance crews.

The driver and passenger were taken to a London hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Motorists with dashcams, who were in the area, are also being urged to check their devices for any important footage.
