Two people treated by paramedics after house fire in Margate

The blaze broke out in Millmead Road overnight

Two people have been treated by paramedics for breathing in smoke after a house fire in Kent.

9 fire engines were called to Millmead Road in Margate in the early hours of this morning.

People living nearby were asked to keep their doors and windows closed due to the smoke.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire & Rescue said:

"The cause of the fire isn't known, and two people were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics due to smoke inhalation."
