Two pedestrians killed in double fatal crash near Maidstone

Police say the man and woman - both in their sixties - had been walking a dog when it happened yesterday (Saturday 20th January).

Police in Kent have confirmed that two pedestrians have died following a serious collision near Maidstone.

It's understood that the man and woman, both in their sixties, had been walking a dog on Thurnham Lane in Bearsted yesterday afternoon (Saturday 20th January), when a BMW X5 collided with them.

Officers say the dog also died at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any other information or dashcam footage prior to, or at the time of the collision, is urged to call Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
