Two men assaulted at Kent hospital

Police have arrested a man following reports of assaults on two men at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the site in Windmill Road at around 11.35pm on Tuesday (February 13th).

Two men in their 40s and 50s were being treated for injuries when crews arrived.

A 22-year-old man from Thamesmead in London was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody.

Kent Police has launched an investigation into the circumstances, and officers are urging witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact the appeal line.

In addition, they would like to hear from anybody who wishes to report they were also assaulted during the incident.
