Two people have been arrested after a stolen vehicle was involved in multiple pursuits and collisions across Faversham and Canterbury.

Kent Police was called at around 7.30am on Saturday 11 October following a report that a vehicle had been stolen from Standard Quay, Faversham.

Shortly before 10am, patrols located the suspected stolen vehicle in Canterbury and signalled for it to stop in Sturry Road. The vehicle failed to stop and was involved in minor collisions with three other cars before officers lost sight of it.

A 31-year-old local man was later arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of cannabis. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

On Sunday 12 October, officers located the vehicle in Whiting Crescent, Faversham. A short pursuit followed, during which the vehicle collided with another car, causing minor injuries to the driver.

The pursuit ended in Preston Grove, where a 25-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of theft, failing to stop, dangerous driving, and failing to provide a specimen.

He remains in custody as enquiries continue.
