Two men arrested after Gillingham stabbing

The victim was taken to hospital, after the incident last week

Detectives have arrested two men, after a report of a serious assault in Gillingham.

Officers were called to the incident in Copenhagen Road, at 4pm on Tuesday 6 August 2024.

A man was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service for injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance and has since been discharged.

Arrests

On Tuesday 13 August, two suspects were arrested and taken into custody.

Etinosa Ojo, of Thorold Road, Chatham, was charged by investigators on the following day with wounding with intent. The 19-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court later the same day.

The second suspect, a 20-year-old man from Teynham, remains in police custody while the investigation continues.
