The Tunbridge Wells MP's telling us he's being inundated with stories of people being affected by the water outages.

It comes after thousands of homes and businesses were left without water and a number of schools were closed yesterday.

Mike Martin, MP for Tunbridge Wells, is telling us what he's calling for now.

He said: "The problem that people are having at the moment is that you don't know when the water is going to be on or off, if you're in one of the affected areas.

"So, we're trying to get South East Water to publish a timetable of it's on between this time and this time, so that people can plan their days.

"It would actually help South East Water manage supply, too."

He's telling us he's been inundated with stories.

He said: "My inbox is full of stories from people who are having their lives disrupted.

"Water is something that you take for granted, of course, because it's 2026 and it's the UK; but when you don't have it and you suddenly can't shower.

"Or maybe you've got to go to work or you've got a job interview, so on and so forth.

"This sort of stuff is hugely impacting at a very basic level, and people are rightly, utterly furious with South East Water."

We've reached out to South East Water for a response.
