Two teenagers charged after motorbike stolen near Dartford

Two teenagers have been charged after a motorbike was stolen near Dartford.

Kent Police first received reports that four people wearing motorcycle helmets broke into a garage on Esparto Way, South Darenth, and took the bike at 10:15pm on Thursday.

The owner of the property was reportedly threatened with a hammer before leaving on a bike.

Two teenage boys were arrested, with a subsequent search leading to the motorbike being found, and tools and cannabis being seized.

Kent Police have charged a 16-year-old boy from Gravesend with robbery and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

A 17-year-old boy from Erith has been charged with robbery, criminal damage and possession of cannabis.

Both boys have been bailed, and are due at Medway Youth Court on 8 August.
