Search for suspects after man left needing stitches in Maidstone attack

Police investigating an alleged unprovoked attack in Maidstone have released a CCTV image in the hopes of identifying a suspect.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was walking in Week Street when the incident happened at around 4.35am on Sunday 19 November 2023.

He was approached by a group of men who were unknown to him, one of whom is reported to have punched him in the face and caused a cut that required stitches.

Officers believe the man shown in the CCTV image may be able to assist with their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who recognises him, along with anyone else who may have witnessed the incident.
