Search continues for teenage boy missing for nearly a week

The search for a teenage boy, who has been missing for nearly a week, is continuing today.
James Gibbons, 16, was last seen in the village of Cuxton, near Rochester, on Saturday 9th November.
CCTV footage revealed James walked into an alleyway off Woodhurst Close at 12.52pm and continued in the direction of Cuxton Woods.
The teenager is around 5ft 11ins with brown hair. He also wears braces on his teeth and has a scar on the right-hand side of the back of his head, in shape to a question mark.
James is believed to have been wearing brown tracksuit bottoms, a a grey zipped hooded top a white shirt with a light brown/blue chequered pattern, black socks and black trainers.
Chief Inspector Garry Cook said: ‘We are continuing our search for James and have a number of specialist teams on the ground. We are also using expertise from partner agencies and volunteers from Kent Search and Rescue.
‘Officers now know James walked along the alleyway towards Cuxton Woods and we are now seeking more sightings.
‘I’d like to once again urge residents with private CCTV and drivers with dashcam to check for footage that may show him after 1pm on Saturday 9 November.
‘Our searches have included rural and wooded areas around the village and we are asking dog walkers, hikers and horse riders to continue looking out for James. Anyone who sees anything they think may be relevant is urged call us urgently.’
