Crimestoppers is offering up to £10,000 for information it receives, which leads to the conviction of those responsible for a violent burglary at a property in Sevenoaks, Kent.

A weapon was used, believed to have been a handgun, to strike a woman who was in the property at the time. During the raid at least 50 high-value pieces of jewellery and watches were reportedly stolen.

The burglary happened on Friday 21 June 2024 at around 3.55pm.

CCTV images have previously been released showing a potential suspect travelling on a train between Staplehurst and Sevenoaks on the morning of the attack. After the burglary, he was seen on trains between Hildenborough, Tonbridge and Marden, finally cycling in Staplehurst shortly after 6pm.

The man in the image should not be approached. Whilst he could have connections with the Staplehurst area, he may live outside of Kent.

Crimestoppers is supporting this investigation by offering up to £10,000 for information the charity exclusively receives - via its online form or by calling 0800 555 111 – which leads to the conviction of those responsible. The reward is available for three months and is due to expire on 4 November 2024.

Crimestoppers Chief Executive, Mark Hallas, said: “This was a shocking burglary that used violence and intimidation. Those involved could strike again.

“There will be people who know more about what happened but may be unwilling to come forward.

“A woman was attacked and property stolen. If you’re unwilling to contact the police, then our charity can help.

“Crimestoppers is independent and guarantees that you will stay 100% anonymous – which means no police, no courts, no witness statements. Tell us what you know and you’re done. We’ll pass it on for you. Your information could help prevent future violence and help keep our communities safe.”
