Reform gain control of Kent County Council
The party has claimed a series of election wins
Nigel Farage says two-party politics 'is finished' after his Reform party claimed a series of election victories across England.
His party has made sweeping gains in many areas - taking control of seven councils including Kent, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Durham.
In contrast, the Conservatives have lost more than 300 seats.
Labour have dropped to fifth in terms of the number of councillors.
Sir Keir Starmer's defended his government for making 'tough but right' decisions.
Reform UK won control of Kent by taking 45 seats on the council - well over the threshold of 41 needed for a majority.
Liberal Democrats had 11 seats, Labour two, Greens one and Conservatives one, in a council which they previously controlled with 56 councillors.
Nigel Farage says election results across England are a 'Reform-quake' - and show people are 'ready for real change'.
