Police cordon after woman's unexplained death

Police have cordoned off vast areas of a Kent town centre following a woman’s unexplained death

Kent Police have closed almost all of Ashford high street – between Bank Street and Station Road following a woman's unexplained death.

The force have confirmed they were called following a report a woman had been found unresponsive in Ashford High Street at 11.20pm on Thursday evening.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the woman was later pronounced deceased.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries.

All roads and alleyways leading to the high street have been blocked by police.
