Police have broken up a large-scale cannabis farm found at an industrial estate in Dover.

Around 800 plants were removed during raids at the warehouse in Poulton Close last Wednesday (January 3rd).

Items of makeshift electrical equipment were also reported to be inside the building and were disrupting the regular electrical installation.

Detective Constable Robert Rainbow, of East Kent CID, said:

'Cannabis production sites such as this are set up to fuel the illegal activities of large, organised groups whose crimes have devastating effects that ripple out through communities.

‘I am pleased that our officers have shut down this cultivation and removed these illegal drugs from circulation, while we continue investigations to bring those involved to justice.’

Anyone with information that could assist officers with their enquiries is urged to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/1575/24.

They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or you can use the online form.
