Police and paramedics attend fire in Maidstone
An investigation into the cause will now be under way, after the fire started on a flat balcony.

Firefighters were called when the fire on a flat balcony started at around 3pm, with people being advised to avoid the area surrounding Mote Road.
The fire service say that six fire engines and a height vehicle were at the scene, and Kent Police and SECAmb paramedics were also in attendance.
The Hazardous Area Response Team also attended.
As of 7pm, people living near Mote Road in Maidstone are no longer advised to keep windows and doors closed, following the fire.
The service say that crews wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet to extinguish the fire, and searches were carried out throughout other floors to make sure everywhere was safe.
All other residents were returned to their flats with the support of Kent Police and Golding Homes.
KFRS’ Volunteer Response Team also attended to support impacted residents.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known.
