Police have released a CCTV image after a serious assault in Chatham.

At around 1.50am on Tuesday 31 October, a man in his 20s was walking towards the bus station in Waterfront Way.

It's alleged the victim was approached by a group of men he didn't know and was assaulted. He suffered serious head and facial injuries that required treatment at hospital.

Officers are now releasing a CCTV image of four people who may be able to assist with their enquiries. While the image is blurred it is hoped somebody may recognise them and contact the appeal line.

They are also asking drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV in the area to check for relevant footage.

Anyone with information should call 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/193838/23.
