A man who stabbed another man during a dispute in Kent - leaving him needing life-saving treatment - has been jailed.

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds after being attacked by Craig Judd in Fulham Avenue in Garlinge in the early hours of August 13th last year.

He was taken to a hospital in London.

Officers quickly established that Judd had been involved in the dispute, during which he had himself sustained an eye injury.

Witnesses told police they had seen Judd shouting before swinging a knife at the victim.

A witness reported that Judd then discouraged members of the public from helping the injured man.

Judd was arrested and later charged with attempted murder. He admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article at Canterbury Crown Court in November 2023.

The 25-year-old, of Fulham Road in Garlinge, was brought before the same court on Friday (March 1st) and jailed for seven and a half years.

Detective Sergeant Alper Ay, from East Kent CID, said:

"Tackling knife crime is a priority for Kent Police and we take a zero-tolerance approach to carrying knives and weapons at all times.

"Judd was quickly identified, arrested and charged for this horrific attack and I hope the fact that he is now in prison provides some reassurance to the local community."
