Man in 'serious but stable condition' after stabbing in Strood

A man has reportedly been stabbed in Strood High Street.

Kent Police say they were called to Medway Hospital at 11:58pm last night, after a man in his 20s attended with injuries consistent with stab wounds.

He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

An investigation is underway and a cordon was in place this morning, at a property in Strood High Street, in connection with the incident.

It's understood the cordon has now been lifted.
