Man in 80s dies after collision involving lorry in Canterbury

Officers say the pedestrian died from his injuries after being taken to hospital on Friday afternoon (19th January).

Police have confirmed that a man in his 80s has died following a collision involving a lorry in Canterbury.

Emergency services went to the junction of Sturry Hill and Island Road, Sturry at around 12.20pm on Friday 19 January 2024.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone who saw the incident, or who has dashcam footage which might assist their enquiries, to contact officers.
