Man in his 20s injured in assault in Chatham

A man in his 20s is in hospital after being assaulted outside a bar in Chatham.

Kent Police were called to New Road Avenue at around 4.20am on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, following reports of the incident.

It is understood that both men had been inside a nearby bar before an assault took place outside, resulting in the victim being punched to the ground.

The victim sustained head injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers attended the scene, but the suspect had already left. He is described as 5ft 6in tall, white, with blond hair, and was wearing a grey/black jacket.
