Man from Canterbury jailed for sending explicit messages to child
He was sentenced to two years and 11 months’ in prison.
A sex offender from Canterbury has been jailed for sending sexually explicit messages to a child he thought was just 14-years-old.
At Canterbury Crown Court on 8 August, he pleaded guilty to attempting to sexually communicate with a child and attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
55 year-old Nigel Stewart, of Gordon Road, was sentenced to two years and 11 months’ in prison.
He will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the next ten years.
