Man charged following serious sexual assault in Gravesend

Kent Police have confirmed a man has been charged with a serious sexual assault in Gravesend.

The force say they were called to reports of a 17-year-old girl being approached by 4 men in Manor Road on Monday last week (13 May), she then reported being sexually assaulted.

One of those is alleged to be Harjeet Singh.

On 17 May police arrested and later charged the 26-year-old, from Gravesend, with rape and sexual assault by touching.

Mr Singh appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Saturday 18 May.

He has since been remanded pending a further hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday 17 June.
